My dig t 2011 plate is blowing hot air no matter if climate control is on or off.
Changing settings such as temperature or fan speed makes no difference at all. Setting it on auto makes no difference either. I wonder if anyone else here has had this problem.

Gets very hot in the cabin, phew!!....

All the very best

Hi Wills01,welcome to the forum, sorry to hear you have a problem.have you checked your air-con pipework as some members have had fractured pipe work which could be your problem as you have no control over it or the system as discharged the gas.if it is the pipework they will be replaced foc if it is under warranty.if not you still need to get it to the dealer to get it sorted

Will check the things you mentioned as soon as it stops tipping it down here.Unfortunately, my juke is 27 days out of warranty, but that's life!!!.....All the bestWill's.If you have a fractured a/c pipe it is possible that Nissan will do this as a goodwill by no means guaranteed but assuming you have full service history and given the fact this is a known issue they should look at it favourably keep us informed of whats the issue etc etc

I wonder if it is the aircon purely because it's quite cool out at the moment, so it should be able to blow cool air without the aircon being used - sounds more like either a sensor not working, or possibly a control that regulates the amount of cool air being allowed in.

Well, weather cleared up eventually. Had a good look round under the bonnet. All looks ok there, the pipe going to ac pump is intact. Of course, a leak could be in one of the crimps on the pipes. A small leak like that would be difficult to detect. I presume that a dealership would have equipment to pressure test the system for leaks or whatever.

When the ac is switched on, there is an audible click from under the bonnet. The car has from new made quite a loud clunk on startup, dealer said it is the aircon kicking in, and is normal. Since saturday, when the hot air problem started, that clunk is no longer present on startup.

If the ac is low on gas and needs a recharge, how would this show up ?. I will obviously have to contact the nissan dealer in the next few days, to see what they can come with.

I appreciate all the input from you guys, a really friendly and helpful group of posters here.

All the very best

Wills If I were you i would get this looked at asap its not likely to cause a major issue but the sooner you do it the more likely you may be to getting Nissan to look at goodwill..Get it to the dealer let them diagnose it which I expect they will charge you for and then talk to them and Nissan GB to see if an amicable resolution can be found. Each case out of warranty is individual. Nissan are NOT required to act at all but I do know they can have a human face so if you dont ask then you wont know.

Contacted the dealer, car goes in on tuesday 15th april @ 13.30 hrs.

I will see then what has gone awry. This is assuming the dealer mechanics are on the ball. I have had nissans for quite a number of years, no problem with any of them at all, save one. 55 plate nissan micra, kept going through lambda sensors. Kept it going till it's mot, traded it in for a pixo runabout that same day. I knew the cat was knackered by then. I have to say that they were not on the ball back then.

I had to contact nissan about things, they certainly shifted their arses after that anyway. Apologetic phone calls and letters from nissan and the garage.

I felt that it was best left for someone else (garage) to pay for any further repairs before selling it on. I was not going to buy and install any more sensors, nor pay for a new cat. Whilst the micra was undergoing it's mot, i purchased the pixo. 30min later the salesman came over and said that the cat on the micra was broken, i thought, well there's a surprise then, eh!!.... I said, is it, christ thats's a shock... One of the mechanics who works there lives not far from me approached us afterwards, said, "you pulled quite a flanker on them there then, i don't blame you either" and laughed.

I will keep you guys posted on what develops with the garage. Really appreciate all the info from yourselves. I bet one of you is correct in your analysis. When it is sorted i will name the main dealer. Maybe someone here has bought a car there.

By the way, juke (we call it junk) has full service history. Had 3 year servicing thrown in as part of the deal. I paid down for the bloody thing, so i was free to haggle about anything i chose to.

All the very best

Having a full dealer service history will always help with an out of warranty claim.

Well, juke was fixed by the dealer yesterday. It turned out to be a loose wire somewhere. The mechanic found and fixed it in around 20 mins with no charge being incurred.

I have to say that the servicing department there has changed a heck of a lot in the last 8 years since i had pretty diabolical treatment from one particular individual, who suggested that i went to another nissan dealer. He has since left their employ, there are a lot of newer staff present, the staff there now are a breath of fresh air to be honest, really helpful and friendly. I had noticed a change happening over the last few years, but only visited to have servicing or mot's carried out. This was the first problem to have required attention. So i was approaching the whole thing with a little trepidation.

The chap in charge of sales i have dealt with over a number of years. He and his staff are always on the ball and extremely pleasant and helpful. It was the service staff that were the problem. What a change. Top marks from me this time around. If you need to sort a problem with your nissan, or need to change your vehicle, do not hesitate to speak to the staff at the nissan dealer in cross hands carmarthenshire.

I have no connection with this dealer, just a loyal and satisfied customer. I thank all you guy's here too, for all your input.

All the very, very best to all

Just seen email stating that there was a reply here.

Yes, there is only one nissan dealer in the cross hands area, J&J Motors. As i stated before, the sales part of it has always been great. Mark is the person to speak to, he is very approachable, even stepped in to help with a micra problem. There has been a sea change with the staff at the service desk, brilliant. I honestly cannot praise them enough.

Thanks for coming back CR4ZYHORSE we certainly did boil on our way over to the garage, had to stop a couple of times for air. By the way, junk is not our opinion of the vehicle, just what we nicknamed it. We call the pixo, paxo. Just one of those silly things.

All the very, very best
